PMU creates the same look and more using a digital machine and pen which holds a variety of needle combinations. PMU can be used to create hair strokes, powder brows, ombré and a combination of techniques.

Arguably PMU can last slightly longer than Microbladed Brows. Some clients may prefer to have Microbladed brows as they believe it doesn’t last as long, however, not all skin types are suitable for Microblading. Excessively oily, dry or mature skin will not hold a Microbladed hairstroke and would be better suited to PMU.

As a general guide Microblading lasts on average 2-5 years. However many factors need to be taken into account, such as skin type (normal, oily, dry), skin care routine, sun exposure and also the pigments and techniques used by your technician, these will all affect the longevity of your Permanent Makeup. To keep your Microblading looking fresh we would recommend a Colour Boost/Top Up every 12-18 months.

No, microblading is not painful. You may feel some sensations at the beginning of the procedure but a medical grade topical anaesthetic is applied approximately 20 minutes prior to your procedure and secondary anaesthetic is reapplied throughout to keep you comfortable.

Any type of Permanent Makeup or Skin tattoo takes approximately 4 weeks minimum to heal. The initial healing stage of 7-10 days may include mild swelling, redness, itching and flaking. Whilst this stage is fairly short and your makeup may looked healed after a week or two, this is only superficial and the skin beneath the surface will still be healing for 4-6 weeks. This is why we will not perform any retouch approximates before a minimum of 4 weeks.

Some medical conditions may mean you may take a little longer to heal such as anaemia and diabetes.

With any type of aesthetics procedure there may be small risks. Such as allergic reactions or scarring. However, as long as you are honest in your consultation and medical forms, and use an experience technician who is insured, certified and follows correct Health and Safely Protocols, you will minimise the chance of any bad outcomes with your Permanent Makeup.

Microblading in Oxford typically costs between £250 and £450 for a full treatment, which usually includes the initial session and a 4-8 week top-up. Prices will vary based on the technicians experience.
